INLAND NORTHWEST GIRLS HOCKEY FOUNDATION

The mission of the Inland Northwest Girls Hockey Foundation is to promote, support, and strengthen the development of youth girls hockey in the Inland Northwest United States. The core tenets of the foundation are Education, Outreach, and Sponsorship.

Education – The foundation will educate the girls, families, and the local population about the positive character traits and skills that girls will take from the game of hockey, including sportsmanship, teamwork, dedication, respect for self and others, solid work-ethic, physical prowess, and others. These traits will remain with the girls and be useful far beyond the ice rink. The foundation will also reach out to local groups and individuals to educate them on this girls hockey program and the positive influence the game of hockey has in the community.

Outreach – The foundation will reach out to girls and their families in the region, informing them that there are local opportunities for girls to experience the rich and rewarding game of hockey in a safe, nurturing, and fun environment. The foundation will reach out to local groups and individuals so they may assist this mission with sponsorship and volunteer opportunities.

Sponsorship – The foundation will fundraise to support the growth of girls hockey in the region. This sponsorship will include hosting try hockey programs, hosting girls hockey clinics and tournaments, equipment loans/purchases, hockey association and tournament fee partial or full scholarships, and others.
